In last two days (22.-23.9.2007) I took the participation on CIS RTTY Contest as the some kind of the training for the comming CQ WW RTTY DX Contest. The propagation conditions during the contest were rather poor, but contesting was fine.
As usual in this time of solar cycle of radio waves propagation only 20m band was mainly used. Therefore working very active RTTY stations was possible - JA6GCE, JF1PJK, JM1XCW (Japan), K9MUG, K1TTT, AA3B (USA), HZ1IK (Saudi Arabia), CN8KD (Marroco), PT7AZ (Brazil). On sunday I worked at 9:50 UTC 3B7C (St.Brandon) suprisingly (for me) when 10 minutes no takers of their CQ were on the band. Probably the whole RTTY world already worked them (they have enormous number of QSO's see the web). In the end of contest came Iceland (TF3AO, TF3PPN). |
