JotLoader Settings
Global Settings
In this part of the form it is possible to adjust :
- Date / Time display
- Date and time format automatically assigned during recognition of new file in Upload Directory when AutoDetect flag is set ON.
The change of this format but shall do not change the Date/Time format of files already saved in the database.
- Upload Directory
- Default download directory is set for JotLoader during installation to "download" and can be later changed to the other directory name (before usage you have to create physically the directory in your server file system).
When "Auto Detect" flag is set ON then all files included in this directory are displayed in Files Manager with the status UNPUBLISHED.
Take care for the assignment of auto-detected files to your Jot Loader categories for proper presentation of download files in the front-end.

Please take care when you like to delete download file from
file list. When "Auto Detect" feature is
selected, then the DELETE button on the File List page is only removing the file
from database table. Next auto detect event finds the download file in download
directory on the server and file is (auto-detected) written back to database
table. In this case you have to remove file from server download directory (for
specific file on File Detail admin page - link underneath of File
Location).
- Statistics activated
- Simple statistics of file downloads are provided by Jot Loader component when this flag is set ON.
Access to this statistics is provided via JotLoader Control Panel / Download Statistics.
Templates
Definitions in these templates allows to assign the default front-end presentation of download categories and files.
Here is possibility to assign different layouts for any download category during the Jot Loader assignment to specific menu item (see JotLoader Menu).Templates allows to customize the presentation formats on JotLoader front-end pages (different fonts, colors, languages) according HTML standarts. When you change the layout it is good practise to check the front-end presentation in usually used browser types (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera etc.)
To any category here it is possible to assign choosen picture by its embedding into category description(see JotLoader Administration).
We have possibility to adjust layout for three major parts of the presentation : category, files header and files. Basic structure of this layout is following :

- Categories
- Here is described main default presentation for download categories.
You can change presentation of any category during its assignment to menus (see JotLoader Menu).
- Files Header
- It is mainly used for fixed text of presentation columns. For longer download files titles it is possible to choose larger width of file-title column e.g. width=40% (The similar change shall be performed for Files template as well).
- Files
- This template contains default definition of dynamically generated part of file presentation part. {} tags are JotLoader tags which are automatically replaced with database text during front-end page presentation.
- {file_id}
- (integer) internal identification of download file in the database
- {file_title} {version} {license_type} {cat_id} {size} {date_added} {url_home} {author} {url_author}
- are tags filled with download file attributes (according the individual file setting in File Manager -> click on file name link).
- {url_download}
- used for download link on the front-end page
- {url_bugs}
- used for bug tracker link on the front-end page
- {downloads}
- (integer) counter of actual file downloads
