OM1VA web site is fully dedicated to informations and practices from wonderfull word of communication, electronics and (web) programming. The communication is here noted not only as the tool or piece of equipment but in the more wider meaning as subject of understanding and broadcasting ideas between peoples.

In my professional as well as private activities I gained many valuable ideas and ready-to-implement solutions from plenty of enthusiasts who decided to communicate open on friendly basis. I am owing very much to them and therefore this web site covers solutions and informations for broaden public usage. This web site and its old predecessor were visited during last two years by users from more as 170 countries of the world.

My natural intention is also to build bridges between different areas and you can here find how amateur radio world meets electronics and computer technology. Today we can communicate with broaden scope of suitable means and for me is joy and fun to receive/answer e-mail from e.g. South America or to speak via radio to the tiny island somewhere in Indian Ocean.

On my pages you can find :

  • Informations related to OM1VA/OM1AVK radio amateur station logs
  • Impressions from ham local and international contests
  • PIC microprocessor practical projects
  • Gallery of selected QSL cards which I received during last ten years
  • Informations about own Joomla components including the appropriate download files
  • Practical knowledge concerning the migration from Joomla 1.0.x to 1.5.x

and in the future maybe something more.

Some years ago I found Joomla Content Management System (CMS) - fascinating open-source world-wide project as very good and solid basis for creating and maintaining of radio amateur web sites. I am very glad that number of friends, clubs and organisations utilize the power of Joomla CMS. Last time I recognized new fresh impressive pages of OM9OT Old-Timers Club SARA Web Site or OK2IEN Web Pages. For more interesting examples see my list of Selected Joomla Ham Web Sites .
