| ARRL Round Up 2011 - US northwest wanted | | |
| Tuesday, 11 January 2011 08:37 | Difficult conditions were present during ARRL (American Radio Relay League) RTTY Round Up Contest held on weekend 8.-9.1.2011, but my WAS (Worked All States) award hunt was partially successfull thanks to KB7Q (Montana) and KU1T (West Virginia) on 14 MHz reaching total count of 46 states (North Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho still missing). N7ESU (Idaho) was shortly on my screen but I could not break the big guns. I hope next time maybe it will be better. | | Last Updated on Wednesday, 12 January 2011 07:15 | | Read more... | |
| DL DX RTTY Contest 2010 - Far way to Tahiti | | |
| Monday, 05 July 2010 09:07 | The low sun activity, far behind all known predictions (flux around 72), has nowadays frustrating influence on all radio amateur community. My participation on German DL DX Contest during weekend 3rd-4th July 2010 was motivated with with good intent to make some new DXCC contacts. My attitude was to reach better result as it was gained last year in this contest with total 344 QSO and more as 400 t. points. But I left far behind this target making only 276 QSO and 307530 total points.

| Tuesday, 23 March 2010 05:52 | BARTG Contests counts to my favorite RTTY contests (see also BARTG 2009 / 2008 participation) and this year I gave me clear target to beat all previous personal records. First day on Saturday 20th March 2010 starting very early in the morning I had some contact with US stations mostly on 7 MHz band. | | Last Updated on Sunday, 04 April 2010 12:23 | | Read more... | | | CQ WPX RTTY Contest 2010 - Results and Anniversaries | | |
| Tuesday, 16 February 2010 15:02 | CQ WPX contests are very challenging world-wide amateur radio competitions. The contest held on 13th-14th Feb.2010 was again interesting with better radiocomm conditions as it was usual during last years.
Broaden openning of 21 MHz band more hours during the day influenced the contest tactics not so much stay on usual 14 MHz band but to go on 'suprising' higher frequencies. My target was to reach more as 500 contacts with more as 500.000 points total to beat my best result from the last year 2009. Taken into account the contest scoring policy with preferred lower bands here was absolutely necessary to improve performance on 80/40m bands. After exhausting contest hours the result was more as satisfactory - total more as 600 contacts with 724,464 points. | | Last Updated on Wednesday, 17 February 2010 17:04 | | Read more... | | Virgin (Islands) déja vu | | |
| Wednesday, 06 January 2010 18:37 | Each amateur radio New Year in RTTY contesting starts with famous ARRL(American Radio Relay League) Round-up Contest. Following my participation in some last years I took part on this contest during Jan. 2nd/3rd 2010. Expectations about better radio wave propagation awaked with 2009 Nov./Dec. raising sun activity unfortunatelly were not right proved. But twelve hours operation brought some interesting contacts and finally my best summary result in latest 4 years.
