Some weeks before CQ World Wide RTTY Contest 2007 in different sources were announced expeditions to KP2 - Virgin Islands and I sought to be there it could be a paradise. My first day of contest competition on 29th September 2007 but shows no virgins, angels or paradise - conditions were rather poor.

I was in doubt is here my antenna proper connected. On saturday 29.9. each a little bit more interesting QSO contact was a really long time fighting on the band. On 14 MHz band I worked TM0RWC(The Rugby World Cup special station from Saint-Denis, France), GJ2D (The Island of Jersey - a dependency of the British Crown, one of the Channel Islands, in the English Channel), D4C (Capo Verde Isl., operators - YL2KL, YL2KF) and around 15:00 UTC VY2LI (Canada, Prince Edward Isl.), BD7KLO (China), 5C5W (Marroco).

On sunday - another day, another feeling. Still dimmed but the 7 MHz band starts to show some better possibilities. After 4:00 UTC were comming ZX7A (Brazil) and then after suprise KP2/NP3D (US Virgin Islands). Later at 11:05 UTC I worked other station from USVI - WP2/K4FO on 14 MHz band. My longer thought title for this competition as "No Virgin Islands" was no more valid. Look on the web site of Virgin Islands expedition for more details.

In one hour later again Prince Edward Isl. station - VY2SS came into my log. Thanks to NP3D, K4FO, VY2LI, VY2SS I learned more details about for me so far islands not much known in my country.

Some years ago I found Joomla Content Management System (CMS) - fascinating open-source world-wide project as very good and solid basis for creating and maintaining of radio amateur web sites. I am very glad that number of friends, clubs and organisations utilize the power of Joomla CMS. Last time I recognized new fresh impressive pages of OM9OT Old-Timers Club SARA Web Site or OK2IEN Web Pages. For more interesting examples see my list of Selected Joomla Ham Web Sites .
