One of the interesting RTTY contest was held last weekend on HF bands. British Amateur Radio Teledata Group (BARTG) is arranging yearly in March well-known world-wide RTTY contest.

On the weekend of 22./23. March 2008 I took a part on BARTG Contest 2008 in the Single Operator All Bands category with hope that conditions and circumstances shall be moderate to this attempt.

Despite of quite poor radio wave propagation I had some (rare) minutes of joy. But anyway with hard work it seems to be my best BARTG result until now achieved. Suprisingly for me here was possibility to work with handfull of US stations (list of 12 most contacted countries) :

Looking more deeper to the band results the list of 12 top rates is following :

I very appreciate the contacts with DV1JM (PHILLIPINES - already eQSL confirmed), VK2KM (AUSTRALIA), PT7AZ (BRAZIL) all on 14 MHZ band and LS1D (ARGENTINA) on 21 MHz bringing me rare continent multipliers. Also 9V1UV (SINGAPORE), C91R (MOZAMBIQUE), FG5LA (GUADELOUPE), HP3DX (PANAMA) and HZ1PS (SAUDI ARABIA) were highligths on 14 MHz band. I worked K2TE (on two bands 3.5 and 14 MHz) and saturday evening (19:30 UTC) was slightly opened US and Canada West Coast with VE7CC (Vancouver area) and K6LL (Arizona).

Altogether 6 continents and 50 different DXCC worked on all open bands (80m, 40m, 20m, 15m). Final results are here :

More as one year ago I found Joomla Content Management System (CMS) - fascinating open-source world-wide project as very good and solid basis for creating and maintaining of radio amateur web sites. I am very glad that number of friends, clubs and organisations utilize the power of Joomla CMS. Last time I recognized new fresh impressive pages of OM9OT Old-Timers Club SARA Web Site or OK2IEN Web Pages. For more interesting examples see my list of Selected Joomla Ham Web Sites .
