World-wide amateur radio contesting has each year some top contests belonging to "Grand Slam" category (when speak of tennis fans is used). During last weekend (26.-27.Sept.2009) was held CQ World Wide RTTY contest attracting thousands of RTTY contesting freaks to 48 hours long match. Solar activity was very changing during these days bringing some suprise and disturbances as well. With much of endurance I got the best result of my last years contesting with 570 QSO of which 50% were first-time contacts at all.

Very nice suprise were contacts with stations transmitting from Andorra tiny territory. Never before I had any possibility to round-up my collection of famous small europian states (HB0 - Liechtenstein, 3A2MW - Monaco, T7 - San Marino, HV0A - Vatican City) with QSO to Andorra. During this contest not only one contact was achieved but four ones on 3 bands - C37URE (3.5,7,14 MHz) and C31CT (14 MHz). Thanks very much for activity of spanish URE organisation for arraging this event.

With higher sun activity I had possibility to work more on 21 MHz band which brings 17 countries with interesting contacts to Iceland (TF3AO, TF3PPN) and Namibia (V51AS).
Highest activity was as usual on 14 MHz band with very active stations from Middle East - A61BK and A61OO(United Arab Emirates), A73A(Qatar).
On this band highlights for me were contacts with EE9K (Ceuta & Melilla), CX1CCC (Uruguay), KN5O (USA, Louisiana), DP1POL (Antartica), P49X (Aruba) and TI5/WW4LL (Costa Rica).

CX1CCC has already confirmed our QSO by eQSL card as can be seen above. KN5O brings me the 41st US state to WAS collection (confirmed also on LoTW).

More as one year ago I found Joomla Content Management System (CMS) - fascinating open-source world-wide project as very good and solid basis for creating and maintaining of radio amateur web sites. I am very glad that number of friends, clubs and organisations utilize the power of Joomla CMS. Last time I recognized new fresh impressive pages of OM9OT Old-Timers Club SARA Web Site or OK2IEN Web Pages. For more interesting examples see my list of Selected Joomla Ham Web Sites .
