ARRL Round Up RTTY Contest was held on 6.-7.1.2007 as the first bigger RTTY contest in the new year 2007. My station conditions were limited only to higher bands above 3.5 MHz because of matching problems with my antenna. Working altogether 16 hours only some contacts were for me exciting - FR1HZ (Reunion Island on 14 MHz), CN8KD (Morocco on 7 & 21 MHz), N6AR (USA / Florida on 14 MHz).

After my quite good results in OK RTTY contest (Single Operator Single
Band 80m) held in 2003 year I look forward to this year contest competition.
Despite influence of minimum sun activity causing very limited propagation of
radio signals here was a hope that the contest run can be interesting enough.

Search Log JOOMLA Component, ver.1.2 PDFPrintE-mail

For this Radio Amateur Web site I developed new Joomla component dedicated primarily for station QSO log searching. My implementation for OM1AVK station you can find selecting from main menu Search Ham Logs .

Purpose

Search Log is primarily oriented for searching in Amateur Radio logs containing informations about performed radio contacts (QSO's). Because of radio amateur rules and gentlement agreement (ham spirit) there is not allowed to gain all important informations about the performed contact via web published log. This Joomla component follows mentioned requirements and allows for each searched callsign to find some important data : contact callsign, band, transmission mode and status of confirming of QSO via QSL card (none as blank, sent, received, confirmed on both sides).

Fix memory keyer with PIC16F628A

The entire project started as the complex example during study of PIC programming. The CW keyboards are often taken by radio amateurs as the easier but anyway usefull solution for one PIC project.

Some years ago I found Joomla Content Management System (CMS) - fascinating open-source world-wide project as very good and solid basis for creating and maintaining of radio amateur web sites. I am very glad that number of friends, clubs and organisations utilize the power of Joomla CMS. Last time I recognized new fresh impressive pages of OM9OT Old-Timers Club SARA Web Site or OK2IEN Web Pages. For more interesting examples see my list of Selected Joomla Ham Web Sites .
